We are riding for the joy of it! Geared towards the gravel-comfortable rider who wants a fun, moderate-paced, community group ride with a distance of 15-20 miles. The focus is on enjoying the outdoors in the company of others. Plan on a cooperative group ride where you come with some self-sufficiency with navigation and mechanics and a team attitude of looking out for each other if a problem arises. We'll stop to regroup and hydrate multiple times--no one left behind. Bring a tire kit, phone, front and back lights, and helmet.
Meet at Bike Library. Stop in at 6pm for the WTF open shop for quick adjustments. Stop in the alternate weeks for longer fixes.
June 11: 6:30pm Route Southwest Maier and Naples 17.2 miles
July 9: 6:30pm Route Southeast 400th and Taft/Osage 20.4 miles
July 23: 6:00pm Route. Suitable for all levels and bikes. This 14 miles ride is mostly paved with 2 miles of lovely, flat, dirt. Treats at the finish! Arrive at 5:45pm. Leave at 6pm.
August 13: 6:00pm Route TBD
This is a chill ride but we'll keep trucking to get back before dark with an average of ~ 10 mph over the course of the ride depending on the wind, hills, and surface conditions. Faster on pavement and slower on chunky stuff and up gravel hills.
