Environmental Stewardship

Every year we recycle thousands of pounds of steel, aluminum, and rubber. Diverting this amount of material away from the landfill would not be possible without the hard work of Bike Library volunteers. Each Wednesday volunteers salvage, strip, and recycle bikes that aren't suitable for fixing or selling. We take donations of all kinds and with that comes a lot of bikes and bike parts that simply need to get recycled. Since 2010 we've recycled almost 40,000 pounds (and counting!) of metal!
